Job Summary:
The Medical Representative will be responsible for promoting our portfolio of generic products to healthcare professionals, building strong customer relationships, and achieving targets. The ideal candidate will have a background in pharmaceuticals, excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medical detailing and Promotion:
- Promote the company’s generic medicines to healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and medical practitioners.
- Develop and implement effective promotional strategies to achieve targets and market share objectives.
- Conduct product presentations and provide detailed information on product benefits, usage, and potential side effects.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders in the healthcare sector.
- Identify and meet the needs of healthcare professionals, providing excellent customer service and support.
- Regularly visit healthcare facilities to ensure ongoing customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Market Intelligence:
- Gather and report market intelligence on competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the marketing and medical detailing teams to enhance product positioning and promotional strategies.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, promotional activities, and expenses.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on performance, market conditions, and customer feedback.
- Product Knowledge and Training:
- Stay updated on the latest developments in the pharmaceutical industry and the company’s product portfolio.
- Participate in training programs to enhance product knowledge and persuasion techniques.
- Provide training and support to customers on the proper use of generic medicines.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related field. A degree in Business or Marketing with relevant medical detailing experience may also be considered.
- Fluency in English language.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in medical detailing, preferably with a focus on central nervous system generic medicines.
- Proven track record of achieving targets and building strong customer relationships.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
